My wife bought her knife & sharpener many years ago at a gardening show (good food show in Warwickshire iirc)they have performed a 'sterling' service, recently due to arthritis I've been using it too & found it far easier than my 'traditional'knife, so much so I've just bought a set for a good friend
This is my second magic knife. The first one was bought years and years ago by my husband from, I think, a Good Food show. That one is still going strong but I wanted another one. We couldn't initially remember what it was called and they're very hard to find on Google if you don't know what they're called! However, he eventually remembered and we were able to buy another. It's probably the best kitchen knife I've ever had. The holes in the blade really help stop food sticking as you cut. Think about slicing potatoes for example - the slices stick to ordinary knives but not to the Magic Knife. Thoroughly recommended.
Hi. I think the knives are really good at cutting but the black paint has peeled off, which makes me nervous that carcinogenic stuff is getting into our food
MZGIC KNIFE 15 June 2020. Hi Claire. Teflon does wear off in time, usually during the washing process, and does not cause problems with getting into food. Neither does this affect the performance of the knife. The wear is accelerated if the knives are put in a dishwasher. In this case, a good scouring and then a light sharpening should improve things. There are no health problems caused by Teflon, in fact some surgical implants are Teflon coated. The only health issues that can arise with Teflon are if it is heated to very high temperatures. More information on this can easily be found online. Cheers, Phil & Lesley
Best knife I have ever owned. Bought mine several years ago at Highland Show, wouldn't see past it
One of the sharpest knives I use, hasn't disappointed! As advised it has never been dishwashed and just lightly sharpened with a ceramic wheel sharpener
The knife is blunt after 6 months and the black coating has started shedding. It has lost its magicness very quickly.
MAGIC KNIFE 12 June 2020. Hi.As a rule of thumb, the needs probably need a light sharpening every two months, so all will be well after a sharpening. Teflon does wear off in time, particularly if the knives are put in a dishwasher. Please email me on phil@magic-knife.website if you are not completely satisfied. Cheers, Phil & Lesley
I have 2 Magic Knives and I can honestly say they really are the best knives in my collection. I don’t think a day goes by without using at least one of them during meal preparation. They are light to hold but balanced and very sharp. From the toughest vegetable to the softest fruit and not forgetting meat, they can handle anything with ease. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them as a brilliant addition to your food prep.
I bought the knife set. Best knives I have ever had. Stay sharp for long while. Easy to resharpen Such a joy to use.
Great knives but after daily use the handle of the large knife came away from blade sadly. Not going to stop me reordering a replacement though.
MAGIC KNIFE 03 Jun 2020. Hi. That sounds like you should hav ethis sorted under guarantee. Pleas email us on phil@magic-knife.website and we'll see what we can sort out. Cheers, Phil & Lesley
I have used these knives for 6 months and I have been very impressed with them. I particularly like the fact that they are light yet powerful and need the minimum of force to cut cleanly and accurately. They are also easy the sharpen and keep their edge well for several uses. I wish I had discovered them many years ago!
I have the 8”, 5” and 3” knive. Although I own other brands these are the only ones used daily by me and my lodger, whether it’s cutting fish, meat, vegetables or fresh fruit. I purchased an 8” knife at the Ideal Home Exhibition some years ago for my brother n law who also found it very efficient until the handle snapped and he threw it in the bin! I found this out much later, therefore, I could not avail of the guarantee/warrantee cover for him.
MAGIC KNIFE 22 May 20. Hi Lynette. Email me on phil@magic-knife.website with details on when you purchased your brother's knife and we'll consider what we can offer. Cheers, Phil & Lesley
A great all rounder in the kitchen and definitely my best friend on the tough tasks such as butternut squash!
Just can't believe it's lived up to its' claims. A great tool in the kitchen.
This has become our favourite knife in the kitchen. Probably the only negative is that the black coating is starting to scratch. This does not affect its performance. We have been very happy with our purchase after the demonstration and being able to test it before we bought it. We also bought the 5 inch knife which is also fantastic. Thank you.
MAGIC KNIFE 13 May 2020. Hi. Teflon does wear off in time but it does not affect the performance of the knife. Cheers, Phil & Lesley
Easily the best knife I've ever had. It makes food prep so much easier I can breeze through it and get straight to cooking. And the best part, the knife goes through onion so quickly, there's no more for tears. I'm so glad I stopped by this stall at the craft fair. I cannot recommend these products enough.
