The knives are brilliant and we have owned several over the years but unfortunately they have all had the same issue-they break at the handle. This is definitely a design flaw as it has happened with around 5 knives now. (8" and 5"). I would be interested to hear if there are any plans to change the design.
MAGIC KNIFE 27 November 2021. Hi Mandy. We have less than 3% of knives that fail. However, it is strange that it tends to happen more than once to the same people, which suggests it may be the way they are used or cared for. This could be issues such as putting in a dishwasher, inadequate sharpening, using with too much downward pressure or not using good knife handling technique. A quick search online will give articles and videos on correct knife handling. We constantly look at ways of improving the design, but so far have not found any that can be done without either an increase in price or that it affects the excellent cut of the knives. Our knives cut at least as well as those that cost considerably more. Cheers, Phil & Lesley
All knives sharp, nicely designed and good weight. With the 8inch knife found when cutting larger objects, Butternut squash or Melon, blade tends to become springy, maybe handle needs more weight. My wife suggests a knife for a size between 5 and 8 inches would be ideal.
MAGIC KNIFE 26 November 2021. Hi Melvyn. If you're finding when cutting a whole butternut, melon etc that the blade is flexing, try keeping the knife horizontal and push the blade straight down, then lift the handle up and down to use a rocking action to cut through. Cheers, Phil & Lesley

Absolutely love these knives, wouldn’t buy anything else now.
I am disappointed to see that though I was given a lifetime guarantee when I bought my own knives, when I bought one as a gift, it is now only a one year guarantee. This doesn’t say a lot for the life of these knives. I do have to say though, that I seldom use anything else. I love my Magic Knives.

B ought this at the NEC a few weeks ago., absolutely brilliant, want to order the 8 incvh, but notice it is now £35.00, so will havde to wait.

What a fabulous knife. I use it for everything. Don’t know how I ever managed without it.
Bought the box set 2 years ago, so happy with them, had small issue with a handle and even after a year of use they replaced FOC, customer service is brilliant,, will definitely buy more without hesitation, can honestly say they are the only knives I use

Excellent knife, still going strong need to keep it sharpened regularly but then it really does the job.
So I have owned the Magic Knife for 6 months now. It is the second one that I have since I found that I needed two as one would be in the dishwasher just when I needed it. I must say that it seems to cut so easily and precisely and its difficult to understand why it is so good since there are so many knives out there to choose from. Magic Knife certainly has the right formula. There knife seems to cut through cheese and bread so easily and does an amzing job on tomatoes. I also bought the sharpening tool tha keeps the blade razor sharp.
This knife really is superb. We bought it for our son having previously bought ourselves one. It gets used every day and we wouldn't be without it!
I bought a Magic Knife at a show last week and thought to myself “another one for the bottom drawer” because I’ve never had much luck buying things that are demonstrated at shows! Well, was I proved wrong. Not only do miracles happen but there is such a thing as a Magic Knife. I could go on forever about what it can do but all I’ll say is that for the first time in my life (I’m not young) I truly have the best knife ever. Thank you Magic Knife for coming into my life - I had no idea it was so easy to cut butternut! ??????
